Wall and railings enclosing the north end of the Sixth Duke of
Devonshire's remodelled estate village. c1842 probably by
Paxton and Robertson. Coursed squared rock-faced sandstone and
ashlar. Low wall with chamfered copings and square panelled and
rusticated piers with moulded capitals and pyramidal caps.
Surmounted by wrought iron spear head railings, curving in to
gatepiers at north entrance and forming a broad curve encircling
the Green at the north of the village. Included for group value
only.
