House. 1578. Coursed squared gritstone with gritstone dressings and quoins.
Stone slate and Welsh slate roofs. Stone coped gables with kneelers to north
and stone coped parapet with ball finials to the south. Two gable end stacks.
L-plan, two and a half storeys. South elevation of two bays, symmetrical.
Central doorway with moulded surround and four-centred arch with leaf motif in
the spandrels and outer chamfered surround. C20 panelled door. Stone doorcase
on each side by two 2-light recessed ovolo moulded mullion windows. Four similar
windows above. First and second floor string bands, the upper one broken in the
centre by a cartouche around a niche with the date 1578. Dripmould above and a
3-light recessed ovolo moulded mullion window above topped by a pediment enclosing
a small figure sculpture. Parapet with ball finials, rising in the middle into a
gable with ball finial. Another small figure sculpture on the north gable and one
on the east gable.
