SK 18 54 PARISH OF PARWICH SMITHY LANE 10/96 (North Side) Wheatsheaf Cottage and Hallgates Cottage

Cottages. Mid-C18. Rubble limestone with sandstone dressings. Plain tile roofs with three brick gable end stacks. Two storeys. South elevation - Hallgates Cottage on the right, three bays. Central doorway with stone lintel and C19 plank door. Flanked on each side by 3-light chamfered mullion windows. String band above the ground floor windows. First floor with central blocked single light window with chamfered stone surround, flanked on each side by 3-light chamfered mullion windows. Wheatsheaf Cottage to the left, lower and of one bay. Doorway with stone surround. To the left a 2-light square section flush mullion window. Similar 2-light window above.
