Lodge, railings and gate. Early C19. Roughcast stone with hexagonal-slate roof
with lead ridges. Single-storey building of 3 bays, the south end canted.
Ornamental brackets to eaves and moulded brackets. Windows have label moulds
and small-paned ornamental glazing with elongated octagon pattern, one sashed
window to northern bay. Entrance has label mould and panelled door.
Cross-axial stack with octagonal shafts and brick north lateral stack. Railings
on stone base approx. 90m in length, the centre part curving back to gate.
Stone base and rusticated stone piers with ogee caps, those flanking curved
centre have ball finials, gate piers with urns. Alternate railings are
serpentine in form; ornamental finials, alternating with acorn finials. Centre
has ornamental panels to base, the gate is similar.
