St Bees Priory

Uploader's Comments

View from the south of St Bees Priory. In the foreground is the ruin of a former chancel aisle, and to the right monastic chancel, showing arches which were filled before the Dissolution in 1539. The south transept is Victorian restoration Circa 1870, and the tower louvre section is a re-build to house of the bells of 1858, further modified from a Romanesque spire in 1953.
