II

House. C17. Timber framed with brick infilling and plain tile
roof. 2 storeys on brick plinth. Widely spaced studs with
staggered ground-floor cross-rails. Roof half-hipped with gablet
at left end and hipped with gablet at right end. Central ridge
stack and small projecting stack at right gable end. 2 small
eaves dormers. 2 timber-framed bays. Irregular fenestration
of one central leaded 3-light casement on first floor, one
C20 bay window with plain tiled roof at left end of ground
floor and one leaded casement at right end of ground floor. Heavy
panelled door towards right right end in C20 wooden porch with
plain tile roof. Left gable end has casement with plain-tiled
pent ice roof over at left end of ground floor and blocked
door at right end. Interior: stairs probably in original position,
against front wall to centre of house with passage separating
them from stack.
