Description


RAMSGATE PEGWELL ROAD TR 3664 SE (south side) 16/304 Wall and gate piers to north and east of West Cliff Terrace GV II Wall to forecourt to West Cliff Terrace. Circa 1840. Stock brick with rendered details. Brick wall about 3 feet high with pilaster buttresses and cornice and elliptical arcading all carried out in stucco. Rendered and rusticated gate piers at north-east corner, with moulded cornices, the carriageway piers capped with scrolled iron lamp brackets, with plain lower pier to pedestrian side entry pier. Plain brick wall to east of West Cliff Terrace joined to it by outbuildings and arched buttress/gateway.
