Barn. Circa 1600, altered in C19. Timber framed, weatherboarded, roofed with
corrugated asbestos. 5 bays aligned approx. NW-SE, with midstrey to NE.
Lean-to extension at NW end, roofed with red clay pantiles. Main roof hipped at
both ends, midstrey gabled. Jowled posts, heavy studding and girts. Bolted
knees replacing original arched braces to tiebeams. Wattle grooves in soffits
of wallplates, wattle fixings in sides of studs, wattle and daub infill removed.
SE end built up to girt level with red brick. NW bays altered with primary
straight bracing. Roof of main range rebuilt in C19/20. Laths for former
thatch on midstrey, replaced by corrugated asbestos.
