TL 6221 GREAT DUNMOW HIGH STREET (E side)

Shop and flat, c.1500, timber framed and plastered with gabled slate roof with
off-centre C19 stack. 2 storeys with C19 2 storey gabled, rear extension.
Front has mid C19 shopfront with fascia end stop brackets and pilasters, either
side of entrance door. To N end is an early C19 carriageway with contemporary
extension over. First floor has 2 C20 replacement double hung sashes with
glazing bars. Internally reveals remains of a single bay of hall with crosswing
to the S with heavy arched braces to tie beam. Some early C19 features
including cupboard with panelled doors and serpentine shelves and contemporary
turned baluster staircase.
