Possibly cattle shelter or implement shed with integral stables and granary. Circa late C18 or early C19. Flemish bond red brick with some blue headers and weatherboarded timeber-frame end gables. Corrugated asbestos sheet roof with gabled ends.
Plan: Long rectangular range facing farmyard to west comprising an open-fronted 7-bay implement shed or cattle shelter with loft above and integral stables at south end with granary above.
One storey and lofts. West front has 3:1:3 bay arcade of round brick arches, the centre large, on stone rectangular piers with stone imposts. Stable doorway and window to right. At south end a loft doorway in gable and 2 later ground floor doorways. The rear wall it blind. Later C19 brick building on north end. The doorways have C20 plank doors.
Interior: Large uncamfered cross-beams with runout stops and unchamfered joists. Insubstantial C20 partitions separating each bay. Stairs from south bay to lofts. Common rafter roof with ridge-board and halved and lapped waney collars with clasped side purlines, alternating with pairs of straight collars with birds- mouth joists to purlins. Over the cross beams large curved timber brackets set into the front and back walls.
