House row. C15 and C16. Timber framed and exposed with plaster infill, with red
brick ground floor to part, and tile hung rear elevations. Plain tiled roof.
Hall house with additional wing. C15 range to left, with red brick ground floor,
probably originally end-jettied, with close-studded return elevation, and arch-
braced upper floor to front. Hipped roof with gablets, gabled dormer to left
return, stack projecting at end left and stack cluster to right. Two leaded
wooden casements on each floor, and boarded door to centre in gabled porch.
Projecting at right a large C16 wing, with exposed small panelled frame. Two
storeys and attic, with half-hipped roof and 3 gabled dormers, with stack to
right. Three mullioned windows on each floor, with 2 extra openings on first
floor. Formerly the village workhouse.
