Late C18/early C19. Red brick with grey headers. Old tiled roof carried down
to 1 storey height at rear which faces street. End chimney. 3 windows. 1 door
with small flat hood on brackets. Small eastern wing at right angles with hipped
old tiled roof. Main or southern facade of 2 storeys. Grey brick with red brick
dressings and stringcourse. 2 windows, sashes with vertical glazing bars only.
The listed buildings on the Lower Quay form a group, most of which is visible from
the approach from the town centre through the Railway Viaduct across Quay Street.
