Early C19. Stuccoed facade. Hipped slate double span roof, the eastern side slightly
higher. 2 storeys. 3 windows to High Street, unbarred sashes lst floor, modern
glazing in shouldered architrave ground floor. 2 windows to East Street generally
late C19 glazing to sashes, that of eastern ground floor with moulded boxed frame.
C19 corner shop front has entablature with cornice, frieze, architrave, pilasters
and consoles. Modern glazing to shop windows.
All the listed buildings on High Street and Union Street, with the listed street
lamps form a group, together with Nos 1 and 2 and the Parish Church of St Peter
and St Paul, Church Place and with Red Lion Hotel and No 10 East Street. (No
45, High Street is of local interest).
