Iron Bridge

II

1840. Three low segmental arches span the landscaped pond north of the house, at its
west end. The arches are of red brickwork, with a plain stone coping, ending in brick
piers, having some stone quoins, a brick plinth, and a moulded stone cap. The parapet
is of cast iron, with rectangular thin 'piers' (with panels) above the arch springers;
between these is an open railing, divided regularly into sections, each with diaper
patternwork. Bow-like 'buttresses' occur at regular intervals.
