C18. Symmetrical pair of 2 storeys with attic and cellar, 5 windows. Old tile
hipped roof with a moulded dentil eaves, carried around the bays; the dormers
have low-pitched gabled roofs. Red brick walling in header bond, with rubbed
flat arches, plinth. Sashes in reveals, those at each side being 2-storeyed wood
bays and a ground floor brick base. The 2 doorcases lie between the side bays
and the single ground floor window and are of identical design, with moulded
entablature above panelled pilasters having thin moulded architraves enclosing
radiating fanlights and 6-panelled doors, above stone steps. The elevation of
No 14 returns along New Street, ending in a single storeyed out-building, but
with painted brickwork.
