Two gateposts and sundial. Probably c1720 for W. Sambach.
Ashlar stone, wooden gates. Two gate piers, sundial c6m to west,
in line. Gate piers viewed as approaching house: rusticated
pilasters set against ashlar face: moulding, pulvinated frieze,
moulded cap, step, cyma to ball finial. Between a pair of framed
wooden doors, centre rail, swept top, diamond-set bars to both
panels. To left, square ashlar pier, of similar height, moulding
forming base to tall block, formerly sundial but now (1986) lacking
gnomon. Ball finial. Forms group with Manor and garden wall
(q.v.).
