- II
End house of row. Possibly C18. Large squared and coursed limestone blocks,
plinth, coped gable with saddle-stone at street end. Large external stacks
with rebuilt upper stages at back, right of property as seen from road.
Two storeys, 2-windowed, plain chamfer mullion 2-light at first floor and
3-light at ground floor, late C20 glazed plank door, left. Gable to street,
two 3-light chamfered mullion casements under stepped drips. A modest cot-
tage but part of a row of social and historic relevance to the town, in
view of the loss of milling activities here. At time of survey used as
holiday cottage.
