II
Two houses in row. Late C15 or early C16. Timber framing on
rubble limestone plinth; brick chimney; clay plain tile roof.
Single-storey with attic; rear wing. North east front: square
framing with middle rail. Scattered timber casements. No 6 to
right has doorway with 4-centred head and wide plank door. Small
high-level casement, probably stair-light. Building appears to
have been shortened, remains of timber framing being incorporated
into outhouse attached to No 7 to left. Central ridge-mounted
brick chimney. North west end: curved bracing above and below tie
beam, principal rafter having curved feet. Off-centre ground floor
casement. Central attic casement, possibly in former loft doorway
position. Smaller square framing to rear wing to right. Some
rebuilding to rear. Interior not inspected.
