Boundary walls to Holcombe
House
GV II
Front boundary and two return walls with gateways. C18 and C19. Squared lime-
stone, some as drystone walling, weathered capping. Road boundary wall full
width of house (qv) and about 1.5 m high, small wrought iron gate opposite door-
way; to right, wall continues a slightly greater height to join barn (qv). On
left wall returns to house front, sweeps up to height of string course, includes
gate opening in higher section; on right a similar wall but continuous height at
string level, incorporates one doorway. The whole complementary to the setting
of the house.
