Large detached house. Probably early C18, altered in C19 and much
enlarged c1966 to north-west. Coursed and dressed stone with flush
quoins, stone slate roof, stone end stacks to south range and ridge
stacks to north-west. Single front range of 2 storeys and attic,
with 2 long rear ranges. Front range has 3 windows, 12-pane sashes
in flush stone surrounds, three gabled dormers through eaves with
twin casements and tile hung gables and sides. Ground floor has 2
large late C19 canted bays with 8/12/12/8-pane sashes and moulded
cornice and blocking course. Probably originally with door
between, now removed. Two narrow 8-pane sashes to left-hand return
on front range, and round-headed doorway with plain fanlights,
recessed 4-panel door and arched stone hood. Rear range has multi-
pane C20 wood casements or mullion and transoms.
