SP 1401-1501 FAIRFORD MOUNT PLEASANT

GV II

House attached on south gable end to cottages in Lower Croft
(q.v.). Originally smaller house to left of late C17/early C18,
enlarged probably in later C18 and altered in early/mid C19.
Coursed rubble stone with alternating flush quoins, stone slate
roof, originally end stacks with ridge stack on right hand
extension, all now concrete with offset. Single long range, 2
storeys and attic. Earlier house on left hand side has single
small gable with 2-light stone mullion, and 2-light stone mullion
and transom below on first and ground floors. To right of gable
and to far right, 2-storey C19 square bays with tripartite sashes
of 2/4/2 panes with shouldered ashlar surrounds with 2-light wood
mullion and transom between on first floor and C19 gabled porch
wood below with door of 2 long recessed panels. Three small
hipped dormers with paired casements to right of gable.
