ST 7693 4/91 WOTTON-UNDER-EDGE LONG STREET 23.6.52 (north) No. 39 GV II

Formerly dwelling and shop, now offices. Early C18. Painted stone plinth, rendered walling, asbestos cement slate roof. Mansard slopes to front, long sweep to back including semi-circular projecting stair well. Two storeys plus dormers, three windowed. Two C19 dormers with sashes and glazing bars, three C18 sashes with glazing bars at wall face; one recent sash with glazing bars ground floor, modern door incorporating fanlight, C19 pilastered shop front. Including glazed door. Interior retains semi-circular stair well at back, remains of framed wall (ground floor) possibly part of No. 37, one upper room with some C18 panelling with beaded/moulded rails and muntins.
