Blackhill Farmhouse

Barn, partly converted to provide stable accommodation, and adjoining stables
with further barn adjoining to north-east. C18 with early C19 added later
barn. Sandstone rubble with stone slate and part-corrugated metal roofs.
Seven bays with central threshing floor, south-west end to left of threshing
floor entrance has lean-to shelter sheds to south-east front and to rear,
bays to right of threshing floor converted to stabling, three-bay stables
adjoin to north-east with later three-bay barn further to north-east.
Circular piers to shelter sheds to left, openings now largely blocked, five
openings to two-storey stables to right and further partly blocked right-end
entrance to later barn with loop vents. Inclined strut trusses. Included
for group value.
