Statue. '1741', 'JAN VAN LOGTTAREN' inscribed on base at side and rear.
Brought from The Green Park, Aston Clinton c.1948. Carved stone. A
larger than lifesize standing figure of Venus with drapery standing
before a large scallop shell with a winged child (now headless). Moulded
bluestone plinth with concave corners. One of a matched pair with statue
of Adonis (q.v.) and one contemporary plinth is nearby (q.v.)
