Post Office and house. 1891. By Grayson and Ould. Timber-
framed on brick base, brick to rear; tile roof. 2 storeys,
2 bays; jettied 1st floor with jettied gable and decorative
timbering to 2nd bay. Windows have leaded casements.
Ground floor has 5-light transomed window to 1st bay, 2nd
bay has shop window of elliptical-headed plate glass lights
and leaded glazing to spandrels, one light to 1st bay, 5-
light canted oriel with transom to 2nd bay with bull's eye
in gable. Entrance with leaded overlight and plank door to
2nd bay; canted angle has elliptical-headed entrance. Right
return has 1st bay similar, 2 cross-casement windows with
jettied gablet; 2nd bay of brick, recessed with projecting
ground floor under lean-to roof. Angle has elaborate
wrought-iron sign on bracket with lettering; "POST/OFFICE".
Rear is brick, gableted window and privies.
