House. 1893. By Douglas and Fordham. Timber frame on
stone base, tile roof. 2 storeys with attic, one bay;
jettied 1st floor and gable. Panelled posts to ground
floor, half-octagonal shafts to 1st floor, decorative panels
with fleurs-de-lys below window, decorative bressumers and
bargeboards. Windows have leaded glazing. Ground floor has
6-light canted oriel, cusped heads to lights. 1st floor has
5-light window with decorative heads to lights; small 2-
light window, with traceried heads to lights, to right;
attic 3-light window. Entrance has Tudor-head decorated
lintel and plank door with strap hinges. Left return has 2
lateral brick stacks;connecting this item to Nos. 6 and 7
(q.v.), that to front has round shafts with zig-zag pattern.
