This block stands across the North end of Abbey Street facing right
down it. In 1 roof span. C17 altered C18. 2 storeys. 7 windows
in all. No 52 tarred weather-boarding. The Anchor Inn pebble dash
with stringcourse. Tiled roof. No 52 casement windows and doorway
with small flat hood over. The Anchor Inn mostly sash windows with
glazing bars intact, but some casement windows and some modern windows;
also 2 storey porch in the centre of the front with hipped roof.
Nos 5O to 52 (consec) Abbey Street, the Anchor Inn form a group with
Nos 1 and 2 Abbey Road.
