GV II

Barn and stable. C17 barn, stable early C19. Timber frame dark
weatherboarded, C17 red brick high sill to barn, slate pitched roof to
barn, hipped red tile roof to stable. A tall 5-bays barn with S gable on
roadside facing E, and lower stable backing onto road extending E from S
end of front of Barn, and facing N into the yard. Double doors in barn
in 1st and 4th bays from N. Jowled posts with hollow chamfer to the
chin of the jowls, long straight braces to tie-beam, staggered
mid-height rails in walls. Clasped-purlin roof on inclined straight
queen-posts. Brick buildings adjoining rear of barn not of special
interest.
