Barn. Early Cl7. Timber frame weatherboarded on low brick sill
with steep thatched roof now covered by corrugated iron.
Shingled roof to porch. A 3-bay single-aisled barn with gabled
porch on E formerly facing W. Present door in S end but blocked
double doors on W and small winnowing door on E. Jowled posts
with angled curved braces to arcade plate, cambered tie-beams,
queen-strut clasped-purlin roof and straight tension braces in
walls. Joints clearly numbered. Face-halved bladed-scarf joint
over each post in wallplate. One of the barns of the former Vine
Farm.
