House. Mid C17 possibly incorporating a late medieval crosswing
on E, extended to N in C18, extended and altered in early C20.
C17 red brick plastered externally and incorporating a timber
framework. Steep old red tile roofs. 2 storeys and attics house
originally facing S with hall in centre with rear lateral chimney
and 2 crosswings the then unheated W wing possibly jettied but
later underbuilt, and projecting E wing with large external
chimney on E wall. S front has a canted bay window in the centre
and 3 casement windows above one another in each wing. Tall
diagonally set shafts with moulded caps to C17 chimneys. C18
chimney serving E wing with cellar below. Interior has 2 4-
centred chamfered wide brick C17 fireplaces on ground floor and
similar plastered onn 1st floor. Hall now has panelled walls and
dado. Hitch-brick garden wall, panelled with flintwork along
