C18 and early C19. L shaped plastered house of 2 storeys with hipped
slate roof. S wing roof higher with red brick central chimney. Another
stack at rear of E wing. Main front on E. Symmetrical 3 window
arrangement with flush box sashes with architraves and 6/6 panes. Gd
floor windows have 2-panelled external shutters. Small bullseye 1st
floor window between 1st and 2nd window from N. C18 pilastered wooden
doorcase with triangular pediment. Frieze decorated by incised fret with
rosettes. This was,in the C19, the manse for the Congregational Church in
London Road (WEA II (1967) 55).
