This postcard view of the western half of the 300-foot, neo-Georgian façade, which includes the original "Master's House" as a link-detached structure, was taken shortly after the Boys' Grammar School was opened on Rickmansworth Road, March 20, 1912. This image is reproduced courtesy of the Terry Trainor Collection. I have no record of the house being occupied by the Headmaster after 1922 (William Carter 1912-14 and Harold Nicholson 1914-22). In the foreground are the newly-terraced slopes leading up from Rickmansworth Road to the main building on its commanding site, with a south-easterly aspect.
