Barn and cowhouse
4/6 bout 50 metres north-
west of Henwood

GV II

Barn and cowhouse. C17, extended early C19. Timber-frame with brick infill
on a coursed rubble plinth under a slate roof. L-plan, C17 three-bay barn
extending to north-east, cowhouse to south-east. The barn has a central
threshing floor with full-height diagonally boarded two-leaf doors. The
cowhouse with hay loft over has full-height double doors to the right, with
two segmentally headed doors to left and two windows with segmental heads.
Framing of barn, three square panels high with straight angle braces, gable-
end truss diagonally framed. Cowhouse is two square panels high to first floor.
