Dovecote. C17, restored early to mid-C20. Timber-framed, rendered infill
on sandstone plinth with plain tiled roof. Square plan. Two levels.
Framing: three panels from sill to wall-plate; collar and tie-beam trusses
with two collars, three struts to lower and one strut to upper collar.
East elevation has a ground- and first-floor 2-light leaded casement and
a ledged and battened door; also similar ground-floor window in south
elevation. Roof has a central gabled timber lantern with entry holes and
alighting ledges. Interior: a floor has been inserted and no nesting boxes
survive. The dovecote is reported as having possibly been brought to
Huddington Court (qv) from elsewhere. (BoE, p 200).
