Tombchest of George and Henrietta Kersley, St Mary the Virgin, Micheldever, 1795

Uploader's Comments

George Kersley (c1730-1795) and his wife Henrietta nee BULL (c1735-1783) were my five-times-great-grandparents. He was a wealthy yeoman farmer from nearby Borough Farm, Micheldever. Part of the inscription on the tombchest, now (photo taken 2004) only partially legible, reads 'Adieu ye precious Relicks ... till the last Trumpet ... gives the ... of ... Ressurrection'. If anybody can either complete or identify the source of this presumed quotation I would like to know of it.
