House, formerly a farmhouse. 1570. Timber framed core, part plastered, part
brick-cased with a C19 red brick facade. Pantiled roof. 2 storeys. 4
windows, C19 casements under cambered stuccoed arches with raised keys. Lobby
entrance: a small C20 gabled porch and boarded door. Internal stack; later
gable stack to left. Modernised interior but with some good exposed framing.
In the parlour an open fireplace with depressed brick arch; to one side a
small C17 cupboard with original door. 2 similar but smaller fireplaces on
the first floor. A mid C20 stair has been inserted in part of the hall but
the original newel stairs are retained. Part of the original house has been
lost at the parlour end. The roof is a much later reconstruction.
