Shop and house. Late C17. Timber-framed and rendered; clay pantiles. 1½
storeys; basic 2-cell lobby-entrance plan, now 3-cell. The end unit on the
right formerly had a lower roof-line. The internal chimney-stack has a plain
rebuilt red brick shaft. 2 flat-headed dormers with 2-light small-paned C20
standard windows. 4 early c19 canted bay windows are spaced irregularly along
the front, 2 used as shop windows with a half-glazed shop door between them.
A 4-panelled half-glazed house door leads into the lobby. Main timbers only
exposed inside; one open fireplace with a plain lintel; main beam with small
chamfer and pyramid stops. Roof timbers mainly plastered over. A lower
addition on the left has a hipped roof; on the right a small lean-to.
