Two timber-framed houses separated on the ground floor by a passage and both refronted
in C18 with a uniform facade. 2 storeys and attic. 6 windows in all. Stuccoed.
Eaves cornice with modillions. 2 windows to No 10 larger than the others. All
sashes, glazing bars intact. Modern fronts on ground floor.
Both these houses run back a considerable way into Talbot Lane or Court and the
timber-framing with brick infilling of the original buildings is still visible
in the side walls facing this Lane. In north wall at the corner of No 10 is a
wooden shutter or cupboard with hinges which is marked "The Old Posting Box of
Horsham".
All the listed buildings in Market Square form a very important group with all
the listed buildings in The Causeway and in South Street.
