C16/C17 altered. 3 storeys with 2 gables to front, C19 bargeboards. Old tile
roof. Timber frame with slate hung upper floors. 2 light casement to right
hand gable, round heads to lights with early C19 gothic glazing. On 1st floor
under each gable a late C18 canted bay window with fixed 3 pane window to
front and one pane casements to sides in moulded surrounds, cornice and vertical
panelled aprons.
On ground floor No 87 has early C19 style shop front. No 89 Victorian shop
front with thin colonettes flanking plate glass window. To rear of No 87
early C18 range. Roof structure of trusses, clasped purlins. No 87 has King
post and carved bracing.
Nos 87 to 101 (odd) form an important group.
