Church. 1859 by Corson with tower of 1861 by G. F. Bodley.
Rock-faced stone with slate roof. Wide nave with small
chancel and north-west tower/porch. Gothic revival. 6-bay
nave with projecting plinth and weathered buttresses. Each
bay has a 2-light window with plate tracery. Large roof
broken only by dormer windows and vents. 3-bay chancel with
3 lancet windows, diagonal buttresses and a 3-light east
window. The 4-stage tower dominates the otherwise plain
design. It is tall and square with an unusual saddle roof
and has weathered diagonal buttresses on the north side
only. Pointed doorway below second stage lancet. Blind
cusped openings in the third stage and 3 lancet belfry
openings in arched recesses with attached columns belfry.
Interior: arch-braced collar roof trusses on gigantic carved
stone corbels. Carved stone font, pulpit and reredos. Timber
fittings and stained glass.
