7/28 The Old Rectory

House. Mid C17, with C19 additions. Regular coursed lias with slate roof.
Originally 2-unit plan with cross wing to right. 2 storeys with attic, 3-window
range of sashes. Those to left and right have moulded stone surrounds. Both
sashes to left have glazing bars, that to right is late C19 tripartite sash.
Above is an attic sash with moulded stone surround and below at ground level on
C19 canted stone bay. There is a blocked entrance with moulded stone surround to
the left. Ashlar gable parapets have mouldings at termination and finials with
balls at apex. Ashlar stacks at ridge and end. C19 wing to right has stone porch
and tripartite sashes. Rear has one ground floor window with moulded stone
surround; others are C20 stone mullions. Used for a time as the Rectory.
