Description

TF 07 NE FULNETBY

6/6 Fulnetby House (formerly
listed as Fulnetby Old Hall )
30.11.66 II

Farmhouse, now divided into 2 dwellings. C16 with major C17 and
early C19 rebuilding. Coursed squared limestone rubble and
brick, the front is rendered. Pantile roof with single large
axial brick ridge stack. T-plan. 2 storey with garret,
irregular 5 bay front with advanced central entry bay, with
plinth. Central early C19 6 panelled door with overlight with
probably reused 4 centred arched head with rolled corbels and
moulded hood over, flanked by pairs of glazing bar sashes. To
first floor are 3 similar windows and to right 2 C20 plain
casements. The porch has fine large quoins visible where render
has fallen away. To left hand gable elevation is a 4 centred
arched stone fireplace, apparently in situ, and blocked; above
is a brick relieving arch. This shows that at least one bay has
been removed from this end of the building.
