1/27 Thatched Cottage

Cottage. C17, altered C19 and C20. Timber frame, underbuilt in
brick, plastered and whitewashed. Half hipped thatched roof with
single axial brick stack. Rear range pantile. Originally L-
plan. Single storey plus attics, 4 bay front consisting of 2
sliding sashes and 2 two light casements. Brick buttresses to
front. In the roof are 2 dormer windows under thatched eyebrows.
Interior. In the left hand room, a jowelled post with chamfered
and ogee stopped girder, and an early C18 bolection moulded
timber fireplace surround.
