2 shops, now post office. c.1840, C20. Stock brick with
rendered and painted ashlar dressings. Concrete tiled roof,
hipped to left with 3 lateral stacks to rear. 3 storey, 6 bay
front including curved corner bay. Large shop front with single
broad flanking pilasters and 2 glazed sections on each side of
deep set doorway with broad overlight, single flanking fixed
lights and glazed door. Small C20 casement to left with doorway
on corner bay beyond, with segmental head and panelled door.
Smaller shop front to right of main shop front with narrow
pilasters flanking doorway to right, with overlight and panelled
door, and large glazed window with glazing bars to left with
pilaster beyond. Above main shop front doorway, a blind panel
flanked by single glazing bar sashes, all 3 with moulded
architraves. Glazing bar sash to left with segmental head, and
blind round headed panel on corner bay beyond. Blind rectangular
panel over central blind panel with single small glazing bar sash
to right, and 2 small glazing bar sashes to left, all with
segmental heads. Blind rectangular panel on corner. Single bay
round corner to west with C20 casement with glazing bar sash
above and smaller glazing bar sash above that, all with segmental
heads.
