GV II

Former staff house, recently used as offices. 1902. In the Italianate
style. Coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings and hipped slate
roof. 2 bracketed stacks. Raised quoins, chamfered plinth, cill band,
impost band, first floor band and dentilated eaves. 2 storey. South front,
3 bay, with central projecting porch with ashlar coped parapet, single round
headed plain sash, left return has round headed doorway with fan light.
Either side single plain sashes, and above 3 plain sashes. West front,
3 bay, with to the left 2 plain sashes, and to the right a 2 storey stone
canted bay window with 3 plain sashes to each floor, to left above 2 plain
sashes. Most windows have raised ashlar surrounds with segment heads and
flush keystones. Built as part of St John's Hospital.
