Engraved brass plaque -The Body of Sir Joseph Danvers, Bart, lies in this Tomb. He was born December 24th 1686 . He died October 21st 1753. He was the son of Samuel Danvers Esquire and Elizabeth Danvers his wife (nee Morewood of Overton in Derbyshire). He was a Member of Parliament many Years and one of the Deputy Lieutenants and Lords Justice of the Peace for the County. Arms, Quarterly 1 and 4 Danvers, Gules a chevron between three mullets of six points or pierced azure. 2 and 4 On a saltire an annulet. An escutcheon of pretense. Impaling Babington, Argent ten torteauxes 4, 3, 2, 1 a label of three points gules (for Sir Josephs wife Frances). (Photo Sept 2009).
