of Fisher's Farmhouse

Barn, C17 or earlier, altered. Cruck-framed, clad in handmade brick and
modern common brick, corrugated sheet roof. Four bays, with wagon entrance to
3rd bay flanked by lean-to extensions. North gable wall of old brick has 3
doorways with sandstone lintels (the 1st doorway opening into the side of the
extension), and a round pitching hole to the loft; otherwise, the exterior is
of little interest. Interior: 3 full cruck trusses with collars, yokes, spurs
and dorsals with windbracing to the purlins; the 3rd truss has a tie-beam, the
2nd has vacant housings for a tie (lower part of 1st truss not inspected);
original rafters missing.
