Wall surrounding St. John's Gardens. 1904. T. Shelmerdine.
Stone. Wall with moulded plinth and coping, iron railings
removed. Main wall piers are rusticated with entablatures
and block caps, gate piers the same. Intermediate wall
piers are battered. Steps at either end. Sunken Gents'
lavatory in centre has original railings to back wall.
West side has main triple entrance with steps. North side
has 2 entrances. Terrace wall has heavily battered piers
and balustrades. Curved recessed centre with benches, and
flanking steps.
