5/37 The Old Gatehouse

GV II

House, former toll house. C18 with C19 and C20 alterations.Painted. Brick,
plain tile roofs. 2 irregular blocks of 2 storeys. Right hand block: C18
with segmental bay window with gothic leaded lights and blocked door to
left. All below a tiled pentice, with a small oriel window supported on
brackets on the first floor. Lefthand block: C19 flat-roofed dormer
rising through eaves. Irregular fenestrations of C20 casements and
gauged head to ground floor window. Entrance in the side of this block
with C20 porch and door.
