GV II


Shop and house at end of row. Mid C19. Limestone ashlar front,
Welsh slate roof with coped verges and brick stack to rear pitch.
Polygonal-fronted range on corner of Hill Street and Church Street.
Two-storey, 5-window. Four-panelled door with fanlight in semi-
circular arched surround with keystone, and 12-pane sash to right,
half-glazed door with flanking 6-paned C19 shop windows to left.
Plat band to first floor; five 12-pane sashes. Eaves of roof on
paired stone corbels. Rubble stone right return has sash to
ground and first floor. Rear rubble stone lean-to addition.
Good example of corner shop retaining original front.
